In addition to the Action Plan steps of the BVCC, some of which are included below, the following outlines steps and protocols to be followed by our members in order to resume indoor pickleball at BVCC.

General
- By signing up to play you attest that you have read the BVCC return to play document and agree to follow all procedures outlined in it.
- You will be allowed into the lobby no more than 10 minutes before your scheduled start time where you must remain until you enter the hall at your scheduled start time.
- You must be a member or interim member to play. No guests allowed.
- Members in waiting, ie. on our wait list must follow the same procedures in order to attend a designated practice session.
- You must register to play. See process below. No walk on players allowed.
- You will complete an online self assessment screening form prior to playing. You will be given a TBM managed website to do this. This is the link - PUBLIC FACILITY ENTRY to the TBM managed website.
- There will be a maximum of 20 players per session.
- The front door will be unlocked 10 minutes prior to your scheduled start time and locked at your scheduled start time. You must remain in the lobby until your scheduled start time. No chairs will be in the lobby. There will be 20 chairs in the hall spaced 6 feet apart. Do not move them. Change your shoes in the hall. Take all your belongings with you into the hall. When the snow starts to fall, take your boots off in the lobby and carry them into the hall and place them on the mats at the exit door. When leaving, change and exit the hall. Do not go back into the lobby except to use the washroom. You must register to play and doors will be locked promptly at your scheduled start time. One minute late is too late.
- At the end of the scheduled session there will be a 30 minute closure of the facility so it can be cleaned by BVCC staff before the next user group arrives. In other words, arrive at the scheduled start time only but you may leave when you wish.
- Masks must be worn at all times within the facility except when playing and social distancing of 6 feet is required at all times except while playing.
- Only 2 users will be allowed in the washroom at the same time.
- The cloakroom is off limits. .
- 20 chairs will be placed in the gym spaced 6 feet apart. Upon entering the gym players will select a chair for the session to use when not actively playing on which to place their mask, water bottle, sanitizer, coat etc. How to rotate in for playing will have to be determined.
- Players must bring and use their own sanitizer or wash hands frequently.
- TPC first aid kit will be available.
- The kitchen and the small hall are off limits.
- Only 4 balls will be available for each session. Disinfectant spray will be available and the balls will be cleansed after each session by the last players to leave and left ready in the appropriate container for the next group. We ask for the cooperation of all players in ensuring this happens. Extra disinfected balls will be in the TPC storage bin to be used only when a ball gets broken.
- No demo equipment is allowed and do not share paddles.
- No fist punching or paddle tapping at the end of the game.
- Players will be required to leave through a specified exit door from the gym and should ensure that they take all their belongings with them as once you leave the building you will not be allowed back in.
Scheduling and sign up process
- The sign up page is being finalized and you will be notified once it is ready to be used. We will need to close the sign up prior to 48 hours before a scheduled start time as we need to send that list to the facilities manager at BVCC 48 hours before a start time.
- No sooner than 6 hours prior and no later than 2 hours prior to your scheduled play time you must complete the TBM self assessment document. However, Until the TBM App is working, a Covid self-assessment (paper-copy) will be completed at the door prior to entering the facility.
- If you have registered to play and have not completed the TBM self assessment form do not show up. If you do, you will be asked to leave. Repeated such incidents could have our play time rescinded.

- TPC must always comply with the physical distancing measures and recommendations issued by federal, provincial and municipal government authorities, including the arrival and departure of players.
- TPC will limit activities to court usage by small groups (Max 20) in accordance with total group maximums mandated by the authorities.
- All players must maintain a physical distance of 2 metres (6 feet) while waiting to get onto the court. No shaking hands or tapping paddles.
- TPC will use an online sign-up and attestation process on the TPC website
- All players must sign up in advance. Drop-ins will NOT be allowed. Non-members or non members in waiting will NOT be allowed.
- TPC will keep a record of all members who have played and the date they played, so that contact can be made, if required, to inform that a positive case has been identified.
- All TPC members who wish to play will be required to complete a new Health & Safety/Liability Waiver prior to stepping on the court. It is understood that any player who participates in TPC club play has read, acknowledged and agreed to TPC's policies, procedures and Covid-19 protocols and those of BVCC.

Before you PLAY
- Arrive on time for access to the lobby from 10 minutes prior to playing to your play time. The outside door will be locked once the scheduled group has entered.
- Once inside, wear a mask and social distance.
- Covid Self-Assessment - Do not play if you or your playing partner. Complete and submit the
- Exhibit any coronavirus symptoms, such as a fever, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, or other symptoms identified by health experts.
- Have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
- Are considered vulnerable or at risk (elderly individuals with underlying health concerns, immunosuppressed persons, individuals suffering from serious health problems, notably high blood pressure, pulmonary diseases, diabetes, obesity and asthma).
- TPC has the right to ask a player to leave if they are not respecting our policies as outlined or exhibit any symptoms, is waiting for the results of a COVID test or has been in contact with someone who has tested positive in the last 14 days.
PREPARING TO PLAY
To protect yourself against infections and the spreading of such:
- Wash your hands with disinfectant soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use hand sanitizer, before going on a pickle ball court.
- Bring hand sanitizer and use it before you begin play, between games and again when you complete play and leave the courts.
- Clean your equipment, including your paddles and water bottles, with an appropriate disinfectant.
- Do not share equipment with your playing partner or others.
- Ensure you have enough water with you before leaving the house.
- Currently it is a player's discretion to wear gloves and/or a mask while playing. Masks must be worn at all times when not actively playing such as waiting or using the washroom.
- If you cough or sneeze, do so in a tissue or in your sleeve/elbow.
AFTER PLAYING
- Wash your hands carefully with water and disinfectant soap or with hand sanitizer.
- Leave the hall immediately after you finish playing through the designated exit.
