TPC Director NOMINEES & Bios
CLEMENTS, Paul - We have been residents of Thornbury and TPC members since early 2015. Amongst all the other great things this area provides pickleball is right up there. We have met many great people, many who have become friends away from the courts. We have a diverse group and I would like to continue meeting their needs. I have been on the Board for the past 5 years and have been President for the past 3 years.
COPELAND, Pam - After moving to Thornbury from Toronto in 2016 my husband John and I were introduced to Pickle Ball at the Thornbury club. We have since become passionate about the game and I aspire to actually becoming good at it . Joining the club has also been a great way to meet and befriend many wonderful people. I was a volunteer helper for the past two annual tournaments (sadly cancelled for 2020/21 due to Covid) and have been a member of the TPC Board for the past 2 years. I look forward to continuing to contribute to the club.
GELLATLY, Andy - My wife and I moved to Thornbury eight years ago with Cathie retired after a career in the nursing profession and me retiring after 52 years in the insurance business. I joined the Thornbury Pickleball Club 5 years ago and I thoroughly enjoy the game but most importantly are the tremendous members that I have met and become friends with. Lots of laughter and great sportsmanship.
For the last two years, I have had the privilege of being on the Board as your VP and Treasurer. I am putting my name forward to continue as a Director for the 2021-2022 Pickleball season. GRUMMETT, Jean - Pickleball is my passion. I love the action, challenge and great fun in playing the game. I started helping with our club through the winter of 2015 and started working on our website at that time as well as the creation of The Thornbury Pickleball Club FB page to keep our members uptodate with the latest in PB news .I am currently on the TPC board of Directors, helping with the Interim Program, managing the TPC website and helping in the organization of our yearly tournament. I enjoy working with technology, using it to find solutions to the challenges presented in running a club. I promise that my every action will continue to be a benefit to the TPC so that it can keep growing and moving ahead with additional courts to accommodate the many players who are showing an interest in playing the game. ROBINSON, Martha - My husband and I have been members of this club for 5 years now and love the enthusiasm of all our members and amazed how far we have all come with our game! This board has worked very hard during this difficult time to guide us through so we may play safely . Personally, I would still like to continue on the board to help in anyway I can. |
