TPC Director NOMINEES & Bios
CLEMENTS, Paul - We have been residents of Thornbury and TPC members since early 2015. Amongst all the other great things this area provides pickleball is right up there. We have met many great people, many who have become friends away from the courts. We have a diverse group and I would like to continue meeting their needs. I have been a Director for 2 years now, serving as President this past year.
COPELAND, Pam - After moving to Thornbury from Toronto in late 2016 my husband John and I were introduced to Pickle Ball at the Thornbury club. We have since become passionate about the game and I aspire to actually becoming good at it . I am in Group 1 and usually play 3 times a week. Joining the club is also a great way to meet and befriend many wonderful people and I thoroughly enjoy the social aspect of the club as much as playing. I was a volunteer helper for the past two annual tournaments (sadly cancelled for 2020 due to Covid) and have been a member of the TPC Board for the past year.
We have two children and a daughter-in-law who continue to live and work in Toronto. While the children were growing up we were actively involved in supporting the various sports and other (dance, choir) organizations related to their activities. I am a Human Resources professional and over the course of my career held roles in most HR disciplines. I can find my way around most MS Office software including Excel, Word and PowerPoint in addition to email and of course Google. In addition to Pickleball I enjoy travel, curling, bicycling, swimming, kayaking, reading and music.
GELLATLY, Andy - For the last 15 years, I have been a partner and Senior VP of sales in a firm called IDC World Source Insurance Network. I recently informed my partners that I am retiring January 1st, 2019. Previous to that I was a VP of Sales for Canada Life and Crown Life. My wife and I moved to Thornbury 5 years ago. We are members of the Beaver Valley Probus and the Collingwood Curling Club. I joined the TPC club over a year ago and have fallen in love with the game of pickleball. The TPC is a vibrant club full of positive and enthusiastic members. It would be a privilege to be a Director and serve the club in any capacity.
GRUMMETT, Jean - Pickleball is my passion. I love the action, challenge and great fun in playing the game with so many fun-loving, 'pickleballers'. I started helping with our club through the winter of 2015 and am currently on the TPC board of Directors, operating the Interim Program and keeping the TPC website up-to-date. I enjoy working with technology, using it to find solutions to the challenges presented in running a club. I promise that my every action will continue to be a benefit to the TPC so that it can keep growing and moving ahead with additional courts to accommodate more players.
